cool blog! I just spent an hour browsing it!
As to why so many adults wear braces there: in peru i once met a dentist who said it is a mark of social standing. i.e, braces are so expensive and unnecessary (compared to food, a roof, etc.), that it is like wearing a huge diamond ring that screams of social success. And to think that they're trying to sell invisible braces in the US now for self-concious adults...
